The Battle of Plattsburgh

In September 1814, The Battle of Plattsburgh took place on Lake Chaplain. This was one of the last battles of the War of 1812.  The US troops defeated the large British force, under Lieutenant Thomas MacDonough and forced their surrender of the British troops.
